"Icons Tax" Decision: Hamilton County Commissioners Meet
Aug 6, 2014"Save our icons" supporters are asking to raise the county sales tax a quarter-cent as one leg of a plan to raise $331 million to repair Union Terminal and Music Hall. Such an increase would raise Hamilton County's total sales tax from 6.75 cents on the dollar to 7 cents on the dollar.Today is is the deadline for Hamilton County commissioners to add such a measure to the November ballot.

What can we do to boost boys’ educational performance in America?In this American Enterprise Debate, AEI resident scholar Christina Hoff Sommers will argue that single-sex schooling allows instructors to experiment with teaching methods and to successfully tailor curricula to their students’ needs. Lise Eliot of the Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science will respond that single-sex education is neither beneficial nor necessary, stressing that it fails to prepare both boys and girls for their futures.
